Teaching Experience and Achievements
I’ve had the privilege of teaching for the past 13 years.
I have worked as an editor for Marshall Cavendish Education and contributed to various MOE–approved projects, such as Chemistry Matters (3rd Ed) and Physics Matters (5th Ed).
As a tutor, I have guided numerous batches of students to excel in the national examination, i.e. with over 60% of students attaining a distinction grade (A for A levels; A1 or A2 for O levels) and over 90% of students achieving a merit grade (B for A levels; B3 for O levels).
About me
My teaching style prioritises on encouraging students to cultivate a deep understanding of complex concepts in an interactive and engaging manner, rather than mere memorisation of isolated facts. Consequently, I invest a substantial amount of time in understanding my students’ learning habits and developing effective learning.

I attended the JC1 September Holiday Crash Course for H2 Chemistry by Teacher Ashley and found the crash course extremely helpful! Although the crash course was 3 hours long, he went through the organic chem concepts that I had been struggling with in school (esp on hybridisation) with such detail and clarity that I found them really easy to understand.
He also answered our questions very patiently, and even used real life models to illustrate the bonding and orbitals of the molecules. It was one of the best 3 hours I spent during the Sept holidays because it helped me really understand the concepts and learn how to apply them to various A-Level questions! Overall, I found Overmugged amazing, the seats are comfortable and conducive for my learning. Would highly recommend Overmugged.

I’ve been attending H2 Chemistry tuition at Overmugged for about 5 months and my tutor Mr Ashley has helped me clear up my concepts for many of the subjects and has also gone over many exam strategies such as how to properly study a particular topic or how to answer a specific question. The notes are very concise and in depth and they are not as wordy and lengthy as my school note. They have truly helped me in my revision!
