I attended the sept holiday crash course for JC1 biology, taught by Mr Glendon and it was really helpful as Mr Glendon was able to explain the topics clearly, making it easy to follow along with his lesson. Remembering the different H2 Biology concepts also became alot easier as Mr Glendon used analogies and relatable life examples to help us understand them, including giving us many helpful mnemonics ! Overall, Mr Glendon’s crash course significantly boosted my confidence in managing the overwhelming amount of content in the H2 Biology syllabus and tackling bio qns became much easier too.
The teaching quality and notes provided by OVERMUGGED is exceptional as the crash courses effectively addresses gaps in understanding and provides relevant materials useful for exam preparation. As a student who struggled with biology at JC1, I decided to attend the Bio June Crash Course under Mr Glendon and I must say that it definitely boosted my confidence in biology. Although I am not in the regular classes for JC biology, I could still follow along during the lessons in the crash course and understood concepts much better. The tutor explains the concepts in a succinct manner that is easy to understand and is enthusiastic in answering any doubts by the students. Moreover, the free curated notes provided structures the content really well in order to relate the heavy content to possible A level type questions and the notes are definitely worth revising with before exams. The standard of teaching in OVERMUGGED is definitely exemplary and never fails to disappoint in terms of their quality of teaching. After the June Crash Course, I have become more motivated to study for biology as I now know how to analyse question types (even the toughest ones) and apply the relevant knowledge in order to score well for my exams. This is a great contrast to my situation before joining the crash course as I used to be unclear on how to tackle application questions and found the content of H2 biology daunting, causing me to fail my biology WA1 in JC. OVERMUGGED crash courses really help a lot in addressing various loopholes students may have in terms of conceptual understanding and the materials provided are really relevant to school standards which thus pushes us to score better during our exams!!! :)

Unlike other tutors out there, Mr Darrell provides an easy understanding yet in-depth explanation of every topics and makes sure you understand before moving on.
He teaches not only for the sake of teaching but he lets you understands why you need to learn certain things and the importance of it. I attended the EOY revisions for a few subjects during the September holidays via zoom to revise for my Year End Examinations. Overall, I really think the revision sessions were very effective and beneficial to me. My favourite teachers were Teacher Jarryl and Teacher Felicia.
Specifically for Teacher Jarryl, he was very entertaining and cheerful and he made the lessons more lively and interesting. I was so engaged during his lessons that I found it so much easier to understand than what I was taught in school😅. He really tried his best to digest students’ questions and explain concepts slowly to make sure that we understood. After I attended his lessons, I was so much more confident with the subject and was able to do practise papers better.

I personally attended a Biology Class with Mr Jason Phang and found that he was an approachable and amazingly clear teacher.
The questions he gave out in class were helpful for practicing our content application of the subject and he really helped to clarify any doubts we had about the subject. He also went through how to approach a question (particularly, the drawing of genetic diagrams) and what we as Biology students needed to do in exams, which was really helpful.
He also went above and beyond when he asked if we had questions from any other Science Subjects and was so knowledgable in going through them, killing two birds with one stone as he not only answered our questions but revised extra content with us. He really helped with my preparation for the end of years and I cannot thank Mr Phang and OVERMUGGED enough!

I attended the JC1 September Holiday Crash Course for H2 Chemistry by Teacher Ashley and found the crash course extremely helpful! Although the crash course was 3 hours long, he went through the organic chem concepts that I had been struggling with in school (esp on hybridisation) with such detail and clarity that I found them really easy to understand.
He also answered our questions very patiently, and even used real life models to illustrate the bonding and orbitals of the molecules. It was one of the best 3 hours I spent during the Sept holidays because it helped me really understand the concepts and learn how to apply them to various A-Level questions! Overall, I found Overmugged amazing, the seats are comfortable and conducive for my learning. Would highly recommend Overmugged.

My biggest challenge was understanding many of the concepts in A-Level H2 Physics. Before starting tuition with Teacher Claire, I had trouble applying physics concepts and scored C/Ds for exams.
However, thanks to Teacher Claire's tuition sessions, I managed to grasp and apply concepts that used to confuse me and got A/Bs and eventually A in A levels. During my tuition sessions with Teacher Claire, I was able to learn quickly and effectively as she explained each question to me in detail and even shared other common questions that might come out in future exams. This has allowed me to feel more confident and prepared for exams and also improve my grade.

Before attending Ms Pamela's tuition, I was completely lost in my studies, especially for Additional Mathematics and Chemistry. However, after having tuition with her, my grades started improving and I was getting a far better grip in class, feeling completely far from how lost I was before. In two months, my chemistry grade went from an E8 to a high A2, and I know I wouldn’t be able to achieve this, if not for Ms Pamela.
I am 100% sure that she is an extremely dedicated teacher as she ensures that all her students get good grades, and is even willing to provide free zoom consultations at 12 midnight.👍

😊Pamela is a talented tutor, who puts students at ease, and enables learning to take place. She is warm, creative, kind but with control and always attentive to my daughter. Pamela has established a good rapport with my daughter who was struggling with the Secondary 3 Science (Physics and Chemistry) and her confidence has risen. Pamela really knows how to rip through a 2 hours session without losing the attention of my daughter who would still be beaming at the end of the class.

Both my children take tuition lessons with Pamela. And Teacher Pamela has been very consistently kind and patient with them. Ever since they've taken her classes, there is clarity and structure in their understanding of the various subject matters that they study. (Chemistry at IB level for my son and Chemistry and Physics at Upper Secondary level for my daughter)
Teacher Pamela also makes complex topics simple for understanding. Chemistry was my son’s weakness and I am very pleased with how his grades have improved since attending tuition with Pamela. Pamela is a wonderful tutor to two of my children, Aloysius and Natasha.
She has been providing Chemistry tuition for them since March 2014. She was highly recommended by Aloysius’ classmate who is also her student. Pamela is a diligent and effective teacher who is well versed in her subject areas and provides great insight to my children when explaining the subject and when helping them tackle their tests and exams. She listens as much as she teaches and thrives to understand her students’ weak areas and doubts. She is an encouraging tutor who is patient and caring, someone who listens and someone who students can easily relate to.
As an individual, Pamela is a lovely lady with a firm yet gentle demeanor. She carries herself well and is someone students will warm up to easily. She always wears a ready smile and is very pleasant. Pamela is well organised and very neat and has very good time management skills as she manages both studies and tutoring at the same time. She has never been late or missed any lessons.
